Let’s talk for a minute about the family reunion and homemade ice cream. In my mind, you cannot be without the other. It is the time of year again for my family.

My maternal grandfather grew up in the same constituency as his grandparents and aunts, uncles, and cousins. Many of his children live in the same block in Salt Lake City. There are tones/loads of speculation- “Well … you’ll.

A few weeks ago we were driving with our children and I was a bit out of my family and my grandmother and my grandfather who lived in the corner. Every summer a family reunites on behalf of the family. Last year was the first year in a very long time, perhaps more than 10 years, and we were able to move forward again. this is so much fun. It was a wonderful time for my children to play and participate in the same activities we always did as children – throwing a big candy bar and finding coins in a sawdust pile.

As for the fun of reunion games, my favorite part is the always-ready homemade ice cream. My favorite ice cream has always been (my) grandmother’s very old homemade broken Frutti ice cream.

Were you surprised My grandmother, who was probably my best friend, was responsible for her love of making ice cream at home? I am indebted to all the ice creams I enjoy at reunions and other family dinners. My grandmother used to follow homemade ice cream. 4

Last year I was standing in a queue to get some scoop of Grandma’s magical ice cream. Everything evolved into some other fun variations like Mint-Oreo or Rootbeer. I’d like my grandmother’s ice cream. I waited many years to get it back. It did not fail.

I immediately asked the recipe and she asked me to call her the next day and I did.

I love that he asked me for a recipe on the phone. We are like this. There is always a basic recipe, but it depends on what you have about that day or how you feel. There are tones/loads of speculation- “Well … you’ll. or you can. And “Oh! This is not good! “I was very lucky/good for my grandmother.

Last year they used peaches, strawberries, and raspberries with fresh oranges and lemon juice. (Does your mouth water?) I wrote the recipe and spent the rest of the summer making ice cream.

The recipe they gave me was for giant, ancient ice cream makers. I adopted it for my small meals. If you liked my recipe, email me and I will send it to you.
